Beach Sauna

It's origin is finish and primarily known for a bath house, almost every house in Finland has one. In Andøya might not be the case, but we certainly have a few across the island.

There are numerous health benefits from having a sauna and with good reason.

Physically, nothing is more reinvigorating than a deep, healthy sweat every day. Tension fades. Muscles unwind. Mentally, we emerge relaxed, revived and ready for whatever the day may bring.

A few benefits backed up by doctors and practitioners:

  1. Improves cardiovascular performance

  2. Relaxes, soothes aches and pains in muscles

  3. Deep sweating can help reduce levels of toxins absorbed from interacting with our daily environment

  4. German sauna medical research shows that saunas were able to significantly reduce the incidences of colds and influenza amongst participants.

  5. Just feels good.
